How to Join

Joining Scouts BSA

Scout Me In, Join now

Need to know how to join a scout troop?  It really is a very easy process.  Send us an email and come and talk to our scoutmaster on Thursdays at 1350 Peachtree Industrial Blvd, Suwanee, GA 30024. You will also need to complete and turn in to the troop a Scouts Medical form.  This form covers you for general activities and campouts lasting no more than 72 hours.

Before attending Summer Camp, you will also need to have a physical conducted by a physician and complete Part C of the medical form.

With an approved application, you are able to attend all meetings and events with the troop or as an individual.  You are entitled to sign up for merit badge classes and workshops, attend district, council, national and international events like the National Jamboree and World Jamboree.

As a member of a Scouts BSA troop (hopefully Troop 608), you become a member of the Scouting movement and fellowship supported by millions of other scouts around the globe.

Why Should You Join Scouts, and Troop 608 🙂

So what are some of the fun things you can do as a Scout?  Do you like camping?  We camp every month.  What about boating?  When you turn 13, you can come to Sea Base with the troop and spend a week on a sailboat touring the Florida Keys, snorkeling, fishing, and swimming.  Want to get out on the trail?  We hike in places like the Appalachian mountains, Philmont Scout Camp, and many other places.  Like to explore caves?  We have been to a few of the local caves in the southeast and even spent the night in some of them.  Sound like fun?  Join up!  Have a look at some of these photos to see what we do at Troop 608.
